Hi! My name is Jonathan Kabumbe, I am a recent master of architecture graduate and a freelance Congolese artist. I currently teach as a sessional instructor at the McEwen School of Architecture in Sudbury, Ontario. My studies, design explorations, travel, and arts ventures have shaped my approach to design which prioritizes collaborative processes, hands-on research and experiences, vernacular architecture, and material culture. I believe that good design involves a resilient integration of the community during each process and is sustainably informed by the place.
